Objective
Support recruitment consultants who have a passion for what they do and grow through exposure into a position of responsibility. Be involved with all activities related to the timely and successful completion of senior to executive-level searches.
Responsibilities
- Secondary research – Do online research and research through traditional media (magazines, newspapers), run searches through internal and external databases and membership directories to develop lists of target companies, potential candidates and sources (people who might lead to potential candidates).
- Primary research – Uncover and talk to some of the best designers and architects around the world who are creating the structures, spaces, environments, products, and brands of the future. Systematically contact potential candidates via telephone or email. Persuade potential candidates to consider new opportunities.
- Preliminary qualification – Obtain general information from potential candidates (information about current job, previous job, education, etc.) plus preliminary information related to specific searches, and obtain resumes and samples of interested candidates. Write preliminary profile for search consultant’s review.
- Documentation and tracking – Keep all relevant documentation (search project plan, status reports, etc.) up-to-date. Update or create new potential candidate and client computer records.
- With search consultants’ direction, set up search project plans and track search progress.
Requirements
Skills
- Superior verbal and written communication skills in English. Other language skills a plus.
- Undaunted by phone work and networking. Love to speak with and meet new people.
- Engaging and persuasive on the phone and in-person
- Internet research - able to mine for awards competitions, professional organizations, conferences, etc. Familiar with Hoovers and other business-related search engines.
- Working knowledge of MS Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and quick learner of other programs, as necessary

RSSR needs an enthusiastic, motivated, dedicated, intelligent, and collaborative recruiter, who works hard and writes well, has or can quickly develop a passion for design, and can develop meaningful relationships with clients and candidates.
General Responsibilities include:
- Identify qualified candidates quickly and efficiently, managing them through the search process, including negotiating to offer acceptance
- Develop research strategy for assigned searches
- Manage clients through the search process
- Develop relationships with clients and candidates that reflect well on the company
- Contribute to making the RSSR search fulfillment process more effective
- Participate in training research associates
Day-to-day Responsibilities
- Manage and document search progress
- Develop compelling position descriptions, job postings, and outreach communication, as well as customized screening tools
- Develop search-specific research strategy
- Manage external research resource(s), as appropriate
- Do primary (in-person/on phone networking) and secondary (Internet, publications, etc.) research
- Run status meetings, when appropriate, including addressing roadblocks, redirecting research strategy, as necessary, and reviewing candidate pipeline
- Report top line search progress on a weekly basis at staff meetings
- Keep database up-to-date
- Thoroughly qualify candidates, including resume and sample reviews and interviews
- Prepare and present high quality candidate-related deliverables, including resumes, work samples, and profiles
- Prepare and deliver to client search status reports and other search progress documentation, as appropriate
- Coordinate client and candidate interviews
- Prepare candidates and clients for interviews, including information on the client and industry, coaching candidates on resume and sample presentation, etc.
- Negotiate to close, including compensation package, relocation package, and start date
- Participate in client meetings with management team member about contractual issues, search re-direction, potential additional searches and/or potential search termination
- Participate in business development activities – discuss areas of opportunity with management, continually develop and deepen relationships to lead to potential new business, participate in pitch meetings, and give input on proposals.
Requirements
- 3+ years experience in full-cycle recruitment, preferably in retained search
- A bachelor’s degree.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills.
- Potential for relationship building, and client and project management skills.
- Any experience in or exposure to industrial design, architecture/interior design, user interface/experience, digital media, marketing and/or communications a plus.
- Interest in how design and innovation are transforming the way companies are doing business and how people live their lives.
